The latest addition to the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre's web site is a calendar for client events! We will be updating the calendar regularly, so you can see all the events and programs that we can offer you.
You can see the calendar here, or find the new link on the left-side of the "Clients" pages.
The Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre's web site has been revamped. Although the appearance of the site is roughly the same, there are significant differences behind the scenes.

We hope that the improvements we have made are helpful to you.
In our efforts to better meet the needs of the residents of Durham Region, DRUHC has combined its Head Office and Oshawa Resource Centre into one new location at 272 King Street East (north-east corner of King & Ritson). Our new facility allows to serve our clients even more effectively than before. We look forward to seeing you there!
We realize you can't always make it into the Help Centre; that's why we've added new features to our Web site. Not only can you search for jobs through our online postings, you can now attend a virtual job search workshop. Combining video, animation, and high-quality graphics, you'll learn how to put together effective résumés and cover letters, as well as how to prepare for job interviews. It's the next best thing to visiting us in person.
Our service users told us they cannot always access our services during business hours. We now offer after-hours computer training for those who need assistance in using technology as a job search tool.
Every Monday through Thursday until 8:00 pm, you can visit our King Street location and receive instruction, either one-on-one or in small groups, on using computers and the Internet to aid in your job search.
