If you are out of work or underemployed, the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre can provide the tools and teach you the skills you need in order to stand out from other job seekers. We will take the time to learn about your needs, strengths and abilities, and help you to find and keep a job suited to your education, skills and work experience.
The Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre is pleased to offer an exciting new job search tool you will not find on any other employment help Web site: a virtual job search workshop.
We recognize that you cannot always make it in to the Help Centre. That is why we have created a workshop you can participate in without ever leaving your home. You can receive help writing three types of résumés, cover letters, as well as learn how to conduct yourself during job interviews. Not only that, you can also build a résumé right on our Web site.

We have been helping people find employment since 1983. With locations in Oshawa and in Pickering, we serve between 600 and 700 job seekers each month, and nearly 80% of those who make use of our services find employment within four weeks.
