The Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre provides free professional assistance to help you with:
Call the office closest to you to reserve a seat in the Three-Day Job Club, or to book an appointment with a Career and Employment Counselor. If you prefer to visit us in person, stop by any one of our three locations listed here.
Job Club is a federally (HRDC) funded three-day workshop running every Monday through Wednesday. It helps people to find jobs. Topics include: résumé and cover letter writing, interview skills, building self-esteem, job search strategies and Internet training. You will leave the Job Club with 10 copies of your new résumé and your own free copy of our manual (valued at $35.00) covering all Job Club topics.
Job Connect is a provincially funded program that provides employment and job search assistance to adults 25 years of age or older. This program allows you to work individually with a Career and Employment Counselor to develop an employment action plan. This program has an over 80% success within 6 weeks!
Anyone can use our resource centre or register for Job Club. Call for other eligibility requirements.
No, we are not an employment agency; we are a help centre. We provide you with the tools to build your job seeking skills.

We will revise résumés we have assisted in creating through our workshops and one-on-one couselling. If you need a résumé, find out about workshops or counselling services. Or, if you need a résumé immediately, try our Résumé Builder.
