Whether you're looking for a job, or looking to hire, the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre can help.

For job seekers, we offer a Resource Centre, job postings, résumé and job search workshops, one-on-one counselling, and hundreds of employment postings categorized to make your search easier.

We also provide services for employers who are hiring, or will be hiring in the future. When you notify us of your hiring needs, we can select suitable applicants from our extensive résumé database, and forward the information to you within hours. We also provide a way for employers to advertise openings in our online job postings database.

We are a non-profit organization, funded by both the provincial and federal government. Therefore, we are able to provide you with these services free of charge. With two locations in Oshawa, and one in Pickering, we serve between 600 and 700 job seekers each month. We have had over 20 successful years of helping job seekers and employers achieve their employment goals. Our professional and experienced staff is committed to helping you in any way we can.

Our commitment to quality service has been recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. We have received the Minister's Award of Excellence three years in a row - bronze in 2002, silver in 2003 and gold in 2004. Most recently we were awarded Minister’s Award for Excellence in Service Innovation for our website design. We are also proud to have been ISO registered since 2004. We will continue to not only maintain this level of excellent customer service, but improve upon it as well.
